Scape Music Day Out was held at Scape Ground Theatre. With an unusual way of stage layout, it was located right at the centre of the venue. With shop tents located around the space as well, it was crucial that the shops are lighted up but not to take the attention away from the stage.

I wanted to create a stage where it is visible all around and not only that can be viewed linearly. So my team and I have created a 360 stage where not only the performances are performed on stage, but at the centre of the venue. Audiences are able to watch clearly without any issues. With all the musical instruments facing each other, it felt more sophisticated as we were trying to make the stage as round as possible or in this case a 360 degrees stage.

With the limitation of inventory, designing lights is hard. I have managed to overcome and make the lights have a lot of effects. Making every impact and visual appearances for every band member performing. Making sure there are no boundaries on making the performance more lively.

It was a great event where 4 of the local bands were new to this layout. It was awkward for them as they were only able to face one direction which means their backs will be facing towards some of the audiences. With the unique layout, the audience is able to have a closer contact with the performance and see it live close-up.
