Zoukout 2018 was one of my biggest accomplishments. I was a lighting professional. Zoukout 2018 was one of my first DJ shows that I was working for. Ever since, I took the liberty to learn more about lighting in dj shows. I have enjoyed doing these kinds of shows ever since Zoukout 2018. I have always wanted to do shows where they rely mostly on visuals. There were high expectations expected of me. They would send the layout of the lighting design 2-3 weeks before the show so I would be able to program it offline.

Located at Sentosa Siloso Beach; with about more than 100 lighting fixtures being used, I was able to manage the lighting to look seamlessly together and able to create movements and effects smoothly. With more than 30,000 audiences coming and raving together, the visuals should be more lively and capturing audience attention. DJ such as Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike and W&W, with two different genres played by these two professional DJ's, creating a general programming to adapt the performance such as the colour palette or flashing of lights.

I spent almost all day listening to all the DJ's songs that were performing so I could get a better understanding on how to operate. It took me a total of 4 days to complete the programming at home but even so, I had to be on the ground to make final adjustments such as the accuracy of the layout or the positioning of the lights. I was nervous but it was all worth it as I managed to work alongside with the pyrotechnics and visuals team. It was an enjoyable time as they made the work life enjoyable.

During showtime, I was too engrossed on what the next outcome will be. By playing back these videos has really taken me back to those times.
